Our Vision & Values

Our journey to achieving our school Vison and Values

Our Vision

Over recent months, staff, governors and pupils have worked together to reflect on what makes Richmount Primary School such a special place and to consider our aspirations for the future. Through consultation, discussion and careful reflection, we have developed a new school vision that will guide our decisions, priorities and development in the years ahead.

Our vision is more than just a statement. It provides a clear sense of purpose and direction, ensuring that everything we do supports the values and outcomes we want for our children. It will shape our planning, school improvement priorities, curriculum development and daily decision-making, helping us remain focused on what matters most.

A shared vision is vital in creating a strong and successful school community. It helps us to establish clear priorities, strengthen our culture and ensure consistency across all aspects of school life, from learning and pastoral care to extracurricular opportunities and community engagement. Most importantly, it reflects our commitment to providing an ambitious, supportive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

As Richmount continues to grow and develop, this vision will provide the foundation for future improvements and success. While staff, governors and pupils have played a key role in shaping it, we also recognise the importance of our parents and carers. We value your partnership and welcome your feedback as we work together to bring this vision to life.

We hope our new vision reflects the aspirations of the entire Richmount community and provides a strong foundation for the exciting journey ahead.

Our Values

At Richmount Primary School, we believe that a strong vision is rooted in a clear set of shared values.

As part of this process, our staff team identified a range of core values that could help shape every aspect of school life. Following careful discussion and collaboration, eight key values were identified as qualities that could be demonstrated by everyone in our school community, regardless of age or role.

Following this, our School Council played an important role in reviewing and prioritising these values, working together to select the final four that have become Richmount's core school values. This ensured that our pupils had a meaningful voice in shaping the culture and identity of our school.

We are delighted to announce that our four chosen values are:

  • Growth
  • Kindness
  • Community
  • Respect

These values will guide how we learn, work together and support one another, influencing our relationships, decision-making and daily experiences across the school. They will be celebrated and promoted through assemblies, classroom activities and the wider life of Richmount. We are excited about the positive impact these values will have as we continue to build a school where everyone can learn, grow and thrive together.
