School Dinner Information
School Meals and Payments
Here in Richmount, our school meals are ordered in daily from a neighbouring school. They are cooked and prepared off-site, however we have a dedicated catering assistant who helps us to ensure efficient processes during dinner time here.
As part of our ongoing move towards a fully cashless system, all bookings and payments for school meals, breakfast club, snacks and swimming should be completed through the school app. This is now the only method available for making these bookings and payments.
Please take note of the following information:
- School meal bookings and payments for the following week must be completed by midnight each Sunday. The school office is unable to accept cash payments for school dinners.
- Meals can be booked at any time before the deadline, so we encourage parents to complete bookings early to avoid any last-minute issues.
- To make a booking, open the school app and select 'Bookings and Payments’.
- Choose the day(s) you wish your child to receive a school meal. Pupils entitled to Free School Meals must also book on the app but should select the FSM option.
- Select 'Proceed to Payment' and follow the instructions, ensuring all details are entered correctly.
- Once your booking and payment have been successfully processed, you should receive confirmation notifications.
- The school will automatically receive details of your booking, which will be checked against daily attendance.
If your child is absent on a day when a meal has already been paid for, that meal credit will be carried forward and can be used towards a future booking.
Thank you for your support as we continue to streamline our processes and improve efficiency across the school.
Meals Applications
Parents and carers can access information on school meal menus, nutritional guidance, dietary requirements and other catering-related information through the Education Authority website.
We would also like to remind families that many children may be eligible for assistance with Free School Meals and School Uniform Allowance through the Education Authority. We recognise that some families who qualify may not realise they are entitled to this support and therefore do not submit an application. Applying for this assistance can provide valuable financial support for families while also benefiting the school through additional funding allocations. We strongly encourage parents and carers to check their eligibility and submit an application if appropriate.
If you would like any additional information or support with the application process, please contact the school office, where all enquiries will be treated in confidence.
